Caitlin Millman is clinic supervisor at the University of Minnesota Health MINCEP Epilepsy Care Clinic in St. Louis Park, which serves a significant number of pediatric patients.
She is responsible for ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly and for helping patients and their families navigate the often complicated logistics of health care, including insurance challenges, appointment scheduling, transportation, and more.
After nearly a decade at the MINCEP clinic, Millman has learned a great deal about epilepsy and the challenges that people with the disorder face. Her greatest motivation is talking with patients and helping them find answers. “It is important to keep the patient moving toward the next step,” she says.
Millman was nominated for her diligence and keen attention to the details of helping the patient experience go smoothly. Her nominator writes:
“Caitlin was amazing at helping us fight through insurance issues and worked diligently to make sure everything was taken care of so we wouldn’t have to reschedule our appointments. She did this all with a caring attitude and made us feel we were special.”
